CS01 filing service London

A CS01 filing service built for London limited companies

Every UK limited company, including the many London start-ups, contractors, consultancies, property companies and dormant shells, must file a confirmation statement (form CS01) with Companies House at least once every 12 months. It is the yearly check that the public record of your company is correct.

Our CS01 filing service London takes the work out of it. You pay online, tell us your company name and anything that has changed, and we prepare, check and file your CS01 within 2 working days. File Confirmation Statement is a trading style of Accotax London Ltd, a UK accountancy practice, so your filing is handled by people who deal with Companies House every day.

Confirmation statement at a glance

What is a confirmation statement?

A confirmation statement is a yearly filing that tells Companies House the information it holds about your company is up to date. It replaced the old annual return in 2016. Filing it does not mean you have to re-submit everything: you confirm what is correct and update anything that has changed.

A London confirmation statement confirms the following:

  • Your registered office address and registered email address
  • Your SIC code or codes (the nature of your business). See our SIC code change service
  • Your directors and company secretary, if you have one
  • Your shareholders and statement of capital, for companies with share capital. See shareholder and PSC updates
  • Your people with significant control (PSCs)
  • That the company’s intended future activities are lawful

Deadline coming up?

If your deadline is close, order online today or call us on 0203 4411 258. We aim to file within 2 working days of receiving your payment and details.

Confirmation statement deadline: when is yours due?

You must file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. Your first review period starts on the date your company was incorporated and ends 12 months later. After that, each review period starts the day after the last one ended. You have 14 days after the end of the review period to file.

You can find your date by searching for your company on the Companies House service. Look for the ‘confirmation statement next made up to’ date and the ‘due by’ date. You can file at any point within the review period, and filing early simply restarts your 12-month cycle. If you have already missed the date, read our page on a late confirmation statement straight away.

Do dormant companies and new London start-ups have to file?

Yes to both. A dormant company must still file a confirmation statement every year, and so must a company that has only just been incorporated and has not started trading. The first statement is due within 12 months and 14 days of incorporation. If your company is dormant, our dormant company confirmation statement service covers the specifics.

Confirmation statement or annual accounts?

They are different filings with different deadlines. The confirmation statement confirms your company details. The annual accounts show your financial position, and you also have corporation tax obligations with HMRC. Missing one does not excuse the others. See our confirmation statement guide for a full comparison.
